Woman hit, killed in early Aurora crash near North Middle School

A woman in her 20s died early Tuesday morning in Aurora after a driver hit her while she crossed the road.

The crash happened about 7:45 a.m. near Montview Boulevard and Paris Street, Aurora police reported on X.

The woman was not walking on a crosswalk when she crossed the road, Aurora police spokesperson Joe Moylan said.

The speed of the vehicle was not a factor in the crash, Moylan said, and the driver did stay at the scene.

Montview is closed from Paris to Oswego streets for the crash investigation. Drivers are advised to use 19th Ave as an alternate route.
