Man killed when shisha pipe thrown in nightclub brawl severed his jugular
A man has been killed after a shisha pipe thrown in a mass nightclub brawl severed his jugular.
Joel Seipio Ramírez bled profusely when he was struck in the neck.
His carotid artery was also struck by a glass part of a skull-shaped shisha pipe thrown at close range.
The fight started when a man and a woman bumped into each other and a drink was dropped, it is understood.
It escalated to the point where a starting pistol was pulled and stools and water pipes were thrown inside the venue in Terranuova Bracciolini, near Arezzo, Italy.

Joel was given first aid at the scene but passed away in hospital a short while later.
Others involved in the brawl fled the venue before police arrived on the scene.
Police announced on October 9 that a man had been arrested on suspicion of causing 38-year-old Joel’s death.
The suspect had reportedly turned himself in a few days earlier after learning that the authorities were looking for him after identifying him through CCTV footage.

He reportedly claimed to cops that he remembered throwing something inside the club but nothing else.
Local media say three people are currently under investigation for their roles in the brawl, which ended with eight hospitalisations.
The fight reportedly broke out at 7am on October 1 following a concert by a rapper and involved two groups of people from the Dominican Republic.
One of the groups lived locally, while the other lived outside the region, local media report.
Both the deceased and his alleged killer are Dominican.

Officers who searched the venue reportedly found small fragments of the shisha pipe that killed Joel.
Following his death, pal Laura Seipio said: “How unfair life is, how much pain can third parties cause in others.
“My God, fill our hearts with acceptance and do not abandon my family at this moment.
“Joel Ramírez Seipio, my brother, embrace our father tightly, where the sky shines brightest. Until we meet again.”
And Leticia Feliz wrote: “Twenty five years of my life in Arezzo, and I had never seen something so horrible.
“We left our lands in search of a future, and that we end up like this among ourselves hurts.
“Joel, no one deserves to end this way. I am praying for justice to be served.”
