Putin humiliated as key Russian aircraft plant rocked by explosions

Ukrainian forces claimed to have hit a key aircraft plant in the Russian city of Smolensk.

Russia’s Defence Ministry claimed its forces shot down a Ukrainian drone over the western Russian region at about 11pm on November 26, while the acting governor of the region said no damages were made to the infrastructure.

However, sources at the Main Directorate of Intelligence (HUR) of Ukraine reportedly said the attack managed to hit the aircraft plant, located some 300 kilometres away from the border with the war-torn country.

Andriy Yusov, a military intelligence representative, previously explained how dealing even minor damage to such a complex production mechanism would cause a series of issues for Russia, according to news outlet Hromadske.

He told the Kyiv Post in October: “Even the slightest damage to the production base usually causes serious delays, schedule interruption, and inability to make deliveries. production and many other problems.”
