Putin delivered ‘bone crusher’ handshake to impatient Kim Jong Un, says expert

Russian President Vladimir Putin used a special “bone crusher” handshake during his meeting with North Korean despot Kim Jong-un, a body language expert has claimed.

Earlier today, the pair met for four hours at Russia ’s spaceport in the Far East of the country.

Putin met Kim’s limousine, brought from Pyongyang in the North Korean leader’s special armored train, at the entrance to the launch facility, greeting his guest with a handshake of about 40 seconds.

In opening remarks, Putin spoke of the Soviet Union’s wartime support for North Korea and said the talks would cover economic cooperation, humanitarian issues and the “situation in the region.”

And it was that handshake that has become a talking point.

Behavioural psychologist Darren Stanton, on behalf of BitcoinCasinos.com, said: “It is clear that Putin proceeds himself and wants to be perceived as a stronger force.

“His first move is to advance very closely to Kim and give him a ‘bone crusher’ handshake – a stronger shake than normal to assert authority, something many powerful figures implement – most notably attributed to President Trump during his time in office.

‌”The handshake is a very powerful indicator of how someone is thinking. because it is an opening gesture that acts as a first impression, so from the outset we could see that Putin has come to talk business and not waste any time.”

But on the opposite end of the scale, Kim looked “intimidated” and “sleepy”, and at one point could be seen looking “scared” of Putin, the expert claimed.

Before the pair had their official meeting, a press conference where they were both sitting down on chairs was held.

This sparked some intrigue about Kim's behaviour.

Mr Stanton explained: “You can see Kim sitting down with one hand resting on the table with his fist clenched.

“If you notice closely, you can see he is rubbing his index finger and thumb together, which is almost a demonstration of anxiety, giving himself reassurance.

“I believe he is ever so slightly intimidated by Putin, which is probably the intention, and if you zoom in on Kim, he appears to be falling asleep as his eyes cannot seem to stay open.”
