Chilling moment man crosses over train tracks to harrass woman on platform

A terrified woman captured the moment a bloke sprinted across train tracks to harrass her while waiting at a station before threatening to follow her and take her phone.

Yasmin, who posts on social media as @yasminmwayno, was waiting for a train at Bruce Grove train station on October 20 as a bloke was waiting on another platform on the opposite side of the tracks. But when he spotted her and tried to talk to her, things took a darker turn.

The bloke leapt down from the platform and ran across the train tracks to continue pursuing her – despite her telling him repeatedly that she didn't want to. She asked him to leave her alone and tried to walk away, when he started blocking her path and threatening to follow her. "If you act up, I'll follow you," he said.

Meanwhile, she was recording the terrifying interaction – prompting the bloke to threaten to take her phone if she didn't stop recording him. The woman managed to capture a minute of the chilling exchange before she stopped filming to prevent him taking her device.

However, she uploaded the clip to TikTok to raise awareness of the terrifying harrassment women face in public spaces, explaining that she only escaped his attention when another woman intervened. In the caption of the video, which has gained more than 502,000 likes, she wrote: "On the 20/10/23 I was waiting alone for a friend at Bruce Grove train station when a man joined the other platform.

"He crossed the tracks to talk to me and immeditaly tried to intimidate me. He sat down and after politely denying him I got up to walk away. He tried to grab me and started shouting, immediately angry that I didn’t want his attention.

"I stopped recording after he said he would take my phone but he followed me to the exit and blocked my way out. I shouted for help from people in the street and even when other people were there he didn’t seem fazed. A brave woman came over to help and the disturbance had caught the attention of other people in street, she simply told me to run."

Viewers were left stunned by the clip as they took to the comments to condemn his actions. One user wrote: "That’s so scary! The way he ran over the tracks was terrifying."

Another said: "Report to BTP. They can look into it. Something like this happened to me before and they found the person in question quickly." A third commented: "Crossed the tracks!?!?!?!."
