A new rollercoaster promises to break the record for being the fastest, longest and tallest in the world.

Plans for Falcon’s Flight were unveiled recently at the IAAPA Expo in Orlando, Florida, organised by the Global Association for the Attractions Industry.

The ride is part of an ambitious project backed by the Saudi Arabian government which will see a huge amusement park built in the middle of the desert.

Although the gates have yet to open, the incredible attraction is already raising expectations and exciting adrenaline lovers.

Falcon’s Flight is a clear nod to Saudi Arabia‘s national bird and emblem of the Middle Eastern country.

The first carriage is shaped to resemble a falcon’s head while three rear carriages will have space for four people each with a total of 14 passengers per ride.

If the construction goes to plan, the giant rollercoaster will be 195 metres high, reach speeds of 155mph and be 4,250 metres long.

The ride starts with climbs, descents and some twisting turns, before ascending a desert hill from where it will take a short scenic drive before plummeting off downwards.

It next passes a tunnel lit with coloured circles then follows a straight line at full speed with the momentum sending thrill-seekers to the top of a giant arch.

From the top, it drops down and crosses much of the park, including a ride over a racetrack.

There are no inversions, loops or extreme turns with the adrenaline of this rollercoaster coming from the speed and G-forces.
