A teen lad was found dead, naked and wrapped in a sheet after his best mates allegedly killed him following a Ouija board game that "told them to do so."

The incident happened when 17-year-old Jose Mauricio Ospina visited his pals in Patio Bonito, near Bogota, Colombia, on April 12, 2022. Jose Mauricio was found lifeless, with one of the players claiming that the "board told them to do it" after spirits were contacted.

Now, the lad's heartbroken mum is demanding answers as the investigation seems to be at a standstill. His post-mortem report revealed he was strangled and had head bruises, and his body was moved post-death.

Local news outlets reported that one of the lads playing the game claimed that the board instructed them to murder someone and "chose" Jose Mauricio. Another mate admitted they had taken hallucinogenic drug LSD before the game, but tests showed Jose Mauricio didn't have the drug in his system.

A mate, who wished to remain anonymous, told the police: "I saw colourful figures; then, my classmates hitting the wall, and then Mauricio on the floor covered in blood. I knew that all of that was a dream."

The mum of the deceased lad, Claudia Velasquez, said the last time she saw Jose Mauricio, he was doing his schoolwork on the computer.

She added: "I went out to run an errand and he stayed at home, but he told me that he was going to go to a school friend's to do some homework.

"That friend who he went to see, I know him, my son had even stayed there several times to sleep."

Claudia said: "I returned home at eight at night and he was not there. Around 11 at night I called him and he didn't answer me.
