{"id":121319,"date":"2023-11-02T07:20:42","date_gmt":"2023-11-02T07:20:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lasixlineon.com\/?p=121319"},"modified":"2023-11-02T07:20:42","modified_gmt":"2023-11-02T07:20:42","slug":"brexit-britain-takes-next-step-towards-bumper-new-trade-deal-with-turkey","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lasixlineon.com\/politics\/brexit-britain-takes-next-step-towards-bumper-new-trade-deal-with-turkey\/","title":{"rendered":"Brexit Britain takes next step towards bumper new trade deal with Turkey"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Badenoch hails CPTPP trade deal<\/h3>\n<p>Britain is set to unleash &#8220;huge opportunities&#8221; as it prepares to open trade talks with Turkey to give full access to its economy worth more than \u00a3800billion in GDP.<\/p>\n<p>The Government will today launch a &#8220;Call for Input&#8221; giving businesses, organisations and individuals the opportunity to shape Britain&#8217;s negotiating aims ahead of key talks due to start next year.<\/p>\n<p>The announcement comes hot on the heels of Business and Trade Secretary Kemi Badenoch revealing the date for a trade agreement with Florida.<\/p>\n<p>International Trade Minister Nigel Huddleston said: \u201cThe UK is seizing the initiative on the world stage, and making the most of our post-Brexit freedoms to help British businesses sell to massive economies and growing global markets.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTurkey\u2019s strategic location \u2013 where Europe, Asia and the Middle East meet &#8211; make it a historic, global hub for international trade, and their modern, dynamic economy presents huge opportunities for British firms.<\/p>\n<p> <strong> READ MORE: <\/strong> <strong>Kemi Badenoch announces date for mega \u00a31 trillion Brexit trade deal with Florida<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.images.express.co.uk\/img\/dynamic\/139\/590x\/secondary\/Huddleston-5044647.jpg?r=1698907565937\"><\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur future trade deals will only work if they match the needs of our economy.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We need businesses of all sizes and across all sectors to tell us the issues they currently face trading with Turkey, where they see the most exciting areas for growth, and how we can help them realise that growth through a strong, comprehensive free trade agreement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI look forward to seeing what businesses say and to making this very exciting new deal a reality.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mr Huddleston will mark the launch with a visit to Vodafone\u2019s Newbury headquarters this morning.
