Spain is one of the UK\u2019s top tourist destinations but British travellers will need to watch out for a few common crimes in the area.<\/p>\n
According to British Government advice, tourists should remain \u201calert to street crime\u201d while in Spain.<\/p>\n
The advice said: \u201cMost visits to Spain are trouble-free, but be alert to street crime. Thieves use distraction techniques, and often work in teams.<\/p>\n
\u201cTake care of your passports, money and personal belongings, particularly when collecting or checking in luggage at the airport, and while arranging car hire.<\/p>\n
\u201cDo not carry all your valuables in one place. Keep a photocopy or scanned copy of your passport somewhere safe.\u201d<\/p>\n
