A bloke who suffered life-changing injuries during a horror forklift accident has been given new hope of prosthetic limbs.

Loren Schauers, from Great Falls, Montana in the United States, had his lower body crushed when a forklift fell 50ft. His forearm was also severed during the accident on September 27, 2019. The young man has documented his recovery with the help of his wife, Sabia Schauers-Reiche. In their latest update, the pair revealed Loren may be getting prosthetic limbs.

Last week (September 17) the couple revealed Loren’s severed forearm would be replaced with a prosthetic device by Atom Limbs. Their website claims they've made the first artificial human arm, capable of the near-full range of motion, restoring a basic sense of touch, and be mind controlled. But it won’t be available until 2024.

During the footage, Loren jokes that he will look “pretty cool” next year with his prosthetic limbs while dressed as the Black Knight from Monty Python when they attend a Renaissance Fair.

Speaking in the video Loren revealed that they had issues with their footage for the clip, but recalled the missed moments. Including one incident where they ran into a native woman who "was very nice" and gave them "100 bucks and some native blankets" while staying at the Red Lodge at the Renaissance Fair.

Speaking in the video, he said: "We were in Red Lodge at the Renaissance Fair they asked if I would be willing to come down next year early to um take part in their script that they have during the Renaissance Fair and they want to do a piece of the Black Knight for Monty Python and they want me to act is the Black Knight. We think that'll be pretty cool with prosthetic limbs velcroed on."
