<\/p>\nWe may not have had the brightest summer this year, but most Brits are still keen to get out and enjoy the long days. One of our favourite places to pass the time in the sun is in a beer garden \u2013 and it\u2019s even better if it\u2019s a rooftop bar with a view.<\/p>\n
While in your minds-eye you might picture a beautiful bar off an Italian piazza or one above a Portuguese beach it seems there are plenty of lovely rooftop bars in the UK. One was even found to be the "best in Europe" by Big 7 Travel.<\/p>\n
They used scores from social media users to draw up a ranking of the top 50 best rooftop bars in Europe for 2023\/ Those looking for the perfect British option can take a look straight at the top-rated bar of the list.<\/p>\n

Unexpectedly, the winning bar is based in a multi-storey car park in Peckham, London. Frank\u2019s Cafe at Bold Tendencies is "only open during the summer months", according to Big 7 Travel.<\/p>\n
The bar is filled with plenty of tables, benches and seats for drinkers to relax on and offers gorgeous sunset views of the London skyline. You\u2019ll be able to spot the Shard, Canary Wharf, the Walkie Talkie and many more famous landmarks.<\/p>\n

The terrace offers plenty of shade under a large tarpaulin for those avoiding the sun. Plus, there\u2019s a menu of tasty food to order from with recipes from snacks like ice cream sandwiches and flatbreads to brisket sarnies, grilled prawns, hot wings and kebabs.<\/p>\n
You can also get large jugs of Pimm\u2019s, white port and tonic, white sangria and rum punch. If you opt to head to the rooftop for bunch \u2013 served from 11am to 4pm on weekends \u2013 you can get grilled cheese, beans on toast, salmon with scrambles eggs or a brisket hash.<\/p>\n
Plus, cocktails like Bloody Marys, Garibaldis and Cuban Coffee \u2013 that\u2019s coffee with rum! Delicious!<\/p>\n
Big 7 Travel said of the bar: "Take in 360 views of Peckham and beyond from Frank's Cafe \u2013 a relaxed rooftop bar on a multi-storey car park. The power is in its simplicity, as well as its excellent, seasonal food."<\/p>\n

It added: "As well as great food, you\u2019ll also find a wide range of drinks at decent prices \u2013 music to everyone\u2019s ears in London."<\/p>\n
After the UK bar there were winners in Madrid, Spain, Reykjavik in Iceland, Switzerland, Turkey and Lisbon, Portugal. However, a total of five UK bars made the top 50 list.<\/p>\n
These included: 20 Stories in Manchester \u2013 in spot number 21 the northern bar has a beautiful terrace with wide-reaching views, flowers and trees and classy white decor. Directly after the Mancunian bar was The Culpeper, London at number 22.<\/p>\n
In at number 27 was Forza Wine, London while Cold Town House, Edinburgh was in at number 39. Matou in Liverpool rounded out the UK winners in number 41.<\/p>\n
