YouTuber Logan Paul’s ‘pet pig’ found ‘mangled’ in field next to dead animal

An American YouTuber's former pet pig was found "abandoned" in a field and in a "mangled" state.

Logan Paul has confirmed that the animal was his beloved Pearl, who he rehomed in 2020 when he moved to Puerto Rico from California.

She was discovered next to another pig that had died due to a "life-threatening infection" in her uterus, but is now being cared for by The Gentle Barn animal sanctuary in the city of Santa Clarita.

The Gentle Barn rescue team stated that the pig, later identified as Pearl, was "lucky to be alive" and posted a video on TikTok detailing the dire condition she was discovered in.

That led to social media users speculating that the pig looked like Pearl, who Paul bought as a baby in 2018 and regularly posted pictures of before rehoming her at a horse ranch.

The online influencer, who has also dabbled in boxing and wrestling, subsequently confirmed the injured animal was his old pet and sent an email to The Gentle Barn, expressing his gratitude to them for taking her in and offering to help with her care at the sanctuary.

US news website TMZ have gained access to the email from Paul, which read: "With every ounce of gratitude I have, thank you.

"When I moved to Puerto Rico in April of 2020, she was unable to come with me so she was rehomed at a horse ranch in Santa Clarita."

Paul, 27, later revealed on Twitter that he had learnt Pearl had been rehomed again after spending 10 months living at the horse ranch.

In a caption that accompanied the TikTok video, The Gentle Barn wrote: "Pearl’s clearly been through so much trauma that we can’t begin to imagine, but she’s now safe with us at The Gentle Barn.

"While we don’t know everything she’s been through in her past, we know her life is now filled with friends, nutritious foods, the highest quality care, and so much love."
