Woman’s body found in Sterling Ranch home; Dustin Neumann arrested

A man is in custody after deputies found a woman’s body inside a residence in the Sterling Ranch area of Douglas County.

Deputies responded Monday afternoon to the 9200 block of Merino Circle on a report of a possible death, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release. On arrival deputies contacted a man outside the residence and the body was found inside the home.

Dustin Neumann, 27, was arrested on investigation of second-degree murder, according to the sheriff’s office. He is being held at the Douglas County jail without bond.

The victim, who was known to the suspect, was not identified in the Tuesday news release. An investigation is ongoing.
