No coronavirus internet disruptions even if you watch porn in self-isolation
If the UK need to self isolate or work from home during the coronavirus pandemic broadband giants have insisted that there will be no network disruptions – even if you are streaming porn.
Bosses at the UK’s biggest broadband operator BT are confident that the UK will cope, even with workers ‘dual-screening’ with a laptop for work and a tablet for telly.
Telecom giants all over Britain have been meeting with government officials to discuss whether or not mass home-working would hinder the network.
On an average work day, two-thirds of Brits are out of the house.
However, these networks are built to cope with peak usage.

Marc Allera, boss of BT’s consumer division, said: “So if more people need to work from home, our network will keep up with demand.”
This comes after US network providers, Comcast and AT&T, have announced measures to provide cheaper internet for their customers, including the exclusion of data caps.
Now if US citizens surpass their data cap, there will be no extra charges.
UK telecom companies have not announced similar financial measures.
However, they have confirmed that their customers are not bound by data caps, and that they are taking steps to prepare for the added demand from those working from home.
The UK government has predicted up to a fifth of the UK’s workforce could be sick during the coronavirus peak, with more than 20 million people working from home.
