Meghan told to stop calling Harry my husband by vociferous US media critic

A leading American media personality has demanded that Meghan Markle stops referring to Prince Harry as "my husband".

Irritated Megyn Kelly also denigrated the Duchess of Sussex as a "commoner" and a "TV divorcee" in a stinging attack during her SiriusXM podcast, while crying: "We get it. You bagged the gorilla!"

The former NBC news correspondent and Fox News talk show host went on to voice her annoyance at Meghan's repeated reminders on her own podcast that she is married into the Royal Family.

"There seems to be no limit on their appetite for ripping on the royals to whom they owe all of their fame and literally most of their fortune," Kelly said of the couple, while playing clips of their revelatory Oprah Winfrey interview.

Kelly made reference too of Meghan's "less than 22% approval rating" in the UK before branding her a "liar" for the claim that she never researched the royals before her marriage to Harry in 2018.

In response to the former Suits actress' references to Harry as "my husband" in her Archetypes podcast, Kelly then exclaims: "Congratulations! You got the big bear. You want us to know."

In the latest episode of her podcast, Meghan extolled the parenting skills of the Duke of Sussex, gushing: "Oh, my husband? Oh, he’s great!"

She then pointed out how Harry helps "get Archie downstairs" during their "chaotic" morning routine while she cooks for them.

"I make breakfast for all three of them," she said. "It’s very important to me. I love doing it."

Meghan made the comments after her guest, Pamela Adlon, asked whether the 38-year-old prince is "a good contributor to the kid time".

Not one to ever hold back in her criticism of Meghan, Kelly labelled her a "B-list actress" earlier this month and dismissed Harry as being "thin-skinned".

She also poured scorn on Megan's claim that she felt "objectified" while working as a briefcase girl on the NBC game show Deal or No Deal.

The Daily Star has approached the Duchess of Sussex for comment.
