Meghan Markle ‘played Prince Harry like a piano’ and got ‘everything she wanted’
Meghan Markle "played Prince Harry like a piano" and got "everything she wanted," a royal author has claimed.
Loved up Meghan and Harry began dating in early July 2016 – with the Duke of Sussex once revealing he knew she was "the one" from the first time they met.
Early on in the relationship the new couple went on a romantic trip to Botswana, and enjoyed a "good five, six months" of just "privacy" where Prince Harry was said to be "besotted" with the Suits star.
Royal author Lady Colin Campbell claims, as the couple plotted their lives together, Meghan was able to "play Harry like a piano," and get everything she ever wanted – a loving home, husband, and family.
In an exclusive interview with Daily Star Online earlier this year, Lady C said: "I do think Meghan and Prince Harry are in love.
"She played Harry like a piano, hitting the right keys until she got everything she wanted.
"Very quickly on how Meghan was cutting a swathe through Harry's social life, she didn't approve of this, she didn't approve of that, she is an operator."
As with every fairytale, problems arose, Lady C told Daily Star Online, with the first sign of trouble four days after she wed Harry in a star studded ceremony at Windsor Castle.
The family had reportedly heard of "laughable" commercial deals, while Lady C said there was "no way" the Queen would have agreed to the pair "cutting deals."
If the pair had been allowed to stay, Lady C claimed Meghan and Prince Harry would have been "perceived not to be neutral" by the general public.
To represent the country in the manner Prince Harry and Meghan did "you have to be above politics and commerce," she adds.
Meghan Markle 'captivated Queen and Charles but younger generation had concerns'
Meghan and Harry made the decision to step down as senior members of the Royal Family in January 2020.
They've since settled in California and signed a multi-million dollar deal with Netflix.
It is rumoured Meghan and Harry are also considering the public speaking route, with fees of up to £1m a pop for an appearance.
Lady C told Daily Star Online in June: "Meghan is a very dominant personality, who has never been shy of walking into a room and taking control of it.
"She has done that with everybody throughout the whole of her life, and she saw no reason to change when she joined the Royal Family."
