Meghan and Harry given ‘direct message’ by Cambridges’ Windsor move, expert says

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been given a “direct message” by Prince William and Kate Middleton after Harry’s comments about the Queen needing protection, a royal commentator has claimed.

Before returning briefly to the UK for the Queen’s Jubilee with Meghan, the Duke of Sussex gave an interview with US TV, where he controversially alleged that he wanted to ensure his grandmother is “protected” and has “the right people around her”.

This comes amid reports that Harry and William’s feud has yet to be resolved, with the brothers seemingly refusing to look at one another during an awkward thanksgiving service at the Jubilee celebrations.

Now, royal commentator Neil Sean has claimed that the Cambridges’ reported plans to move to Windsor may have been influenced to hit back at the ex-royals over their US switch.

“That was a statement that really shocked and rocked senior members of the British monarchy," he told viewers of his YouTube channel.

"When you think about it, Harry is the one that departed, went thousands of miles away and left our gracious Majesty the Queen at the height of her grief for her late husband the Duke of Edinburgh,” he told his YouTube viewers.

Neil then acknowledged reports that Kate and William are planning on moving to Windsor to be closer to the Queen.

He suggested that although the Cambridges’ children's schooling was a key concern, the couple had also been motivated by Harry’s assertion that the Queen needs to be protected.

“Basically Harry and Meghan wanted to make sure that the Queen had the right people around her, so by William and Katherine moving directly into Windsor castle, that was a direct message back to Harry and Meghan to say, ‘we are the right people’,” he claimed.

“Katherine and the Queen are very close, they speak almost daily on the phone. She [the Queen] holds her in very high regard, she’s become a much-loved member of the family.

“So what William and Katherine have decided to do is make sure that no one, least of all Harry and Meghan have any fears or are in any doubt right now at 96 years of age, that our gracious monarch simply does have the very best and right people around her.”
