Jacob Robert Waddelow dies at Federal prison in Littleton
A 46-year-old inmate in federal custody in Littleton died Friday, according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
At 11 a.m., Jacob Robert Waddelow was found “unresponsive” at the Detention Center adjacent to the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Englewood in Littleton, a U.S. Department of Justice news release said. Staff initiated life-saving measures and emergency medical services personnel were summoned. Waddelow was declared dead by EMS responders.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation and the U.S. Marshals Service were notified of the death. No staff or other inmates were injured and at no time was the public in danger, the release said. Waddelow arrived at the facility on Thursday as a pretrial offender following an indictment for possession of amphetamine and weapons offenses.
FCI Englewood, a low-security facility, currently houses 1,007 male offenders.
