Essex drug boss’ Rolls Royce Ghost confiscated by cops goes up for auction

A criminal at the forefront of a major UK drug ring has had his Rolls Royce Ghost confiscated and it will now be sold off at auction.

The swanky set of wheels was seized by coppers under the Proceeds of Crime Act after he was found to be involved in a drug operation worth millions of pounds, and his gang has also been ordered to repay an £800k confiscation order.

But with less than 49,000 miles clocked up, the 2012 motor is now set to be sold at Wilsons Auctions on behalf of a law enforcement agency battling organised crime.

The current bid on the car is an eye-watering £17,125, so the vehicle certainly isn't cheap.

But for those looking to splash a bit less cash, the car isn't the only thing up for grabs – a BMW X5, priced at £8225, a Rolex Sea-Dweller 4000 watch and a number of vintage Chanel handbags are also going under the hammer.

There are also raw gemstones such as orange heart cut loose diamonds and yellow radiant cut diamonds as well as luxury £3,000 necklaces available for the highest bidder to bag.

Allan McKenzie, Luxury Goods Auctioneer at Wilsons Auctions said: "This 2012 Rolls-Royce Ghost is a stunning example of automotive craftsmanship and an excellent acquisition for any discerning buyer.

"Luxury doesn’t stop at the Rolls-Royce – other items listed in the catalogue for this auction include an excellent Patek Philippe Nautilus, multiple Rolex models, designer handbags and a fabulous range of exquisite diamond jewellery."

The Online Luxury Goods Auction opened at 11am this morning (May 26) but don't despair – bidding will run until May 31, meaning buyers looking to splash the cash have plenty of time to put in their offers.

Those who are interested in making a bid should register on the Wilsons Auctions website, where they can also find additional information about the auction and bidding process.
