Dismembered model’s ex who ‘stored skull in cooking pot’ appears in court

Four members of a family suspected of brutally murdering and dismembering a model have appeared in court.

Body parts of Hong Kong influencer Abby Choi were found in her ex-husband's cooking pot and his parents' fridge, two days after she was reported missing on Wednesday (February 23).

On Monday a total of four suspects appeared at court following charges put against them a day earlier following the horror discoveries.

What is believed to be Abby's skull, was stored inside a cooking pot alongside several ribs and human hair.

Superintendent Alan Chung said: "There's a hole on the right side rear on the skull, so the pathologist believes that that should be the fatal attack on the victim.”

Chung also said that pathologists found loose human bones on the premises.

Choi was a model and influencer who documented her glam life to some 100,000 Instagram followers and had returned from a Dior show at Paris Fashion Week.

In a statement, Hong Kong police said the model's former father-in-law and his eldest son were charged with murder, while her former mother-in-law faces one count of perverting the course of justice.

Police said they suspect Choi was attacked in a car and was unconscious when she arrived at the premises.

While they suspect that the skull and severed limbs are hers, they have so far been unable to locate her torso and hands.

Police have also arrested another woman, who they believe to be the mistress of the ex-husband's father, for allegedly assisting in the grisly crime.

Choi is understood to have had financial disputes involving tens of millions of Hong Kong dollars with her ex-husband and his family.

Chung had earlier revealed that “some people” were unhappy with Choi's financial decisions.

Her final Instagram post was posted week ago, featuring a photo shoot she had done with fashion magazine L’Officiel, Monaco.
