Brit arrested after jumping in pool ‘to escape coronavirus quarantine’
A bikini-clad Brit tourist has been arrested after taking a dip in the middle of Spain’s coronavirus lockdown.
The middle-aged woman was hauled out of a Tenerife swimming pool after defiantly going for a mid-quarantine swim yesterday morning.
Shocked holidaymakers watched from their balconies as the woman swam in circles moaning about staff at the Paradise Park Hotel.
Mobile phone footage shows the moment a police officer stripped to his boxers before diving in to pull her out.
He dragged her to the water’s edge where his colleague handcuffed her on the spot.
A hotel worker brought her a towel before she was marched away as bored guests cheered.
A guest at the hotel said: “She was British.
"What I do know is that the man who jumped in to force her out was another policeman.
