Boris Johnson seemed to forget where he was while making his resignation speech outside No. 10.
Soon-to-be-jobless Johnson thanked staff at Chequers, despite clearly stood in front of the iconic Downing Street door, in an embarrassing gaffe that has prompted a flurry of reactions.
Twitter users were quick to comment on Boris' blunder – suggesting he lives on a different planet to the rest of the country.

One person Tweeted: "Boris thanking the staff ‘here at chequers’ when he’s outside no.10. #notonthesameplanetastherestofus"
"He thought he was in Chequers… goes with the delusion that he's still electable!," wrote another user.
Another said: "Chequers clearly in his mind. That's why he wants to hang on, he has his summer at Chequers all planned out."
"A slip of the tongue thanking Chequers before No10 staff. He’s staying on for the holiday let’s get real," another suggested.
Boris Johnson finally announced his resignation as UK Prime Minister after his Cabinet spiralled into turmoil.
News broke of his decision to cave in and quit soon after 9am this morning (Thursday, July 7) – just short of two years since he proudly entered 10 Downing Street in July 2019.
Mr Johnson's two years and 348 days as PM falls short of his predecessor Theresa May's stint of three years and falls into the unfavourable ranking of the seventh shortest spell in the history of the British premiership.
However to the frustration of some within his party, he will assume a caretaker position as leader of the country until a permanent replacement is voted in later this year.
