‘Austin Powers house’ with red sofas and ‘nightmare’ toilet on sale for £600k
A ‘Groovy baby’ pad has gone on sale in London transporting would-be homeowners back in time.
The north London home, in trendy Camden, is kitted out with throwback decor and a real 1970s vibe.
It even has a loo that is so purple it looks like Austin Powers himself designed it, The Mirror reported.
At a guide price of £600,000, the chic gaff is described by estate agents Purplebricks as being a “charming three bedroom erase Edwardian home”.
But they admit it might need “modernisation”.
It has certainly captured the attention of social media.
Author Sarra Manning joked: “This is a gradual retina burn. Also, what the heck is going on with that toilet, please?"
The bathroom in particular is striking to say the least.
Several shades of purple cover the bath, sink and toilet with a fuzzy bath mat to match.
One joker chimed on Twitter: “Oh my god it's full-on Austin Powers!”
Elsewhere the retro living room downstairs offers a very cosy – and very red – vibe for a potential home owner.

A huge red sofa dominates the room, which has a orangey brown carpet and light walls.
It is finished off by a chandelier having from the ceiling.
Upstairs, the main bedroom has a patterned red carpet and dazzling grey curtains. A purple duvet adds the final splash of colour.
Downstairs and the kitchen is wood panelled, and again very red. The cupboards are bright and styled with a very 70s feel.

The charming hallway has a patterned floor and large staircase. It’s decorated with pictures and has a centre-piece arch leading into the living room.
Backing on to that is a dining area which is also topped off with a dazzling hanging chandelier.
A listing on RightMove read: “Boasting over 1,060sq ft of internal floor space. Located equidistance to Bounds Green and Bowes Park stations.
"The layout of the house is particularly suited to modern family living.
Offering bright and spacious accommodation and is well presented throughout however in need of modernisation."
Not everyone could quite see the potential – but one person raved: "These blue daisy hall tiles look amazing though!"
