Woman kicked off flight 2,000 miles from home because she’s allergic to nuts
A woman claims she was left 2,000 miles from home after she was kicked off her flight due to her nut allergy.
Business owner Hanna Olsen, 36, was journeying from Manchester to Cape Town for a holiday.
She flew with Turkish Airlines with a layover in Istanbul that was meant to last two hours, reports the Mirror.

However, she said at one point that she’d prefer to read the ingredients list on the inflight meals as she had a mild nut allergy.
All was well on the first leg of her trip, but things took a turn for the jewellery designer when she went to change planes.
Her allergy apparently makes her itchy, sick and uncomfortable, but is not life threatening.
She said: "I asked for an ingredients list for the meals they were serving, as I had on the flight from Manchester.
"My allergy is mild; it is not airborne.
“I wasn't asking them not to serve nuts or for it to affect anyone else on the flight, I simply wanted to know so I could decide that what I was eating was safe for me."
However, she claims that the crew then came over to the South Londoner and explained that if she had an allergy and wanted to remain on the flight she would need to sign and agree that the airline was not liable for anything that happened.
Hanna added: "I was given a blank piece of A4 paper to sign. They said I had to sign the form to say that I take responsibility if something happens.
“It was a blank bit of paper, not a form. I told them I don't have to eat anything if it's going to be a issue."
Hanna did agree to sign, but a few moments later the crew returned and said that the pilot refused to take her on the flight.
She added: "I got really upset, it was embarrassing and dehumanising. I was crying and other passengers were getting annoyed as the flight was delayed."
Hanna claims she was removed from the plane and left in Istanbul for 24 hours where she had to pay for a hotel herself.
She was 2,000 miles from home and trying to get another flight.
Hanna said that Turkish Airlines wanted to charge her £700 to rebook another flight for the next day.
She reports that she was made to sign another blank paper to resolve them of liability.
After arguing, Hanna was rebooked onto the flight for free but now says she will never highlight her allergy to crew again.
She said: "I've had this allergy since I was born, but this has made me really nervous. I can't help having an allergy, their reaction was ridiculous.
"I'm never going to tell crews again about my allergy as this has been very traumatising. I only ate a bread roll on the 10-and-a-half-hour flight, as I was scared."
A Turkish Airlines spokeswoman said: "We discussed the issue with our Customer Relations Dept.
"And we have been informed that our passenger had already created a personal feedback through our feedback form.
"Following this, our authorised units evaluated the case in all aspects as per our investigation policy, and took all necessary actions, and informed our passenger due to the conclusion."
