Cruise specialist, cruise.co.uk, asked British holidaymakers to share their ideal New Year’s Eve destination. Over half of the customers chose the same dreamy location.
More than half of British cruise fans would choose to celebrate New Year’s Eve on a Caribbean cruise.
UK holidaymakers wanted to escape Britain’s cold winter weather for the warm shores of the Caribbean.
During winter, temperatures average between 26 and 29 degrees in the Caribbean and many cruise companies visit the region at this time.
Several luxury cruise lines even have their own private paradise Caribbean island for guests to unwind.
Royal Caribbean’s island CocoCay is home to the largest freshwater swimming pool in the Bahamas.
Guests can also enjoy the island’s waterpark or hire their own private cabana to relax on the island.
Popular Caribbean cruise destinations include Jamaica, Bermuda, the Bahamas, Antigua and Saint Kitts & Nevis.

Although some New Year’s Eve celebrations are going ahead this year, Omicron has led to cancellations in some cities.
