Nigel Farage rips into Joe Biden over ’embarrassing’ Hamas gaffe

Joe Biden has been ridiculed by Nigel Farage for his latest howler upon arrival to Israel following a devastating explosion at a hospital in Gaza which left hundreds dead.

Nigel Farage mocked Joe Biden after the US President made yet another embarrassing blunder by referring to bloodthirsty Hamas terrorists as “the other team”.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, the former Brexit Party leader used just four words to attack the leader of the Free World.

He said: “How embarrassing was that? Joe Biden arrives in Israel, reads from a script, loses his thread and then calls brutal terrorists of Hamas ‘the other team’.”

The President’s visit comes after a deadly strike on the besieged Al-Ahli Arab hospital in Gaza left hundreds dead and many injured, with both Israel and Hamas blaming each other for the explosion.

Mr Biden has since declared he does not believe Israel was responsible for the disaster, which unfurled at roughly 6pm UK time last night.

He said: “I’m deeply saddened and outraged by the explosion at the hospital in Gaza yesterday.

“Based on what I’ve seen, it appears as though it was done by the other team, not you.

“But there’s a lot of people out there not sure, so we have to overcome a lot of things.”

The Israeli Defence Force (IDF) has since released what it claims are recordings and video footage that prove it was not behind the lethal strike, claiming it was instead the result of what it called a “failed Islamic Jihad rocket launch on the Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital”.

But the Palestinian authorities, which initially released information on the blast with a claim that at least 500 people were killed, have pointed the finger of blame at the IDF.

The Palestinian Authority’s health minister, Mai Alkaila, accused Israel of carrying out “a massacre”.

But Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has fired back at the claims with a strong denial.

He said in a social media post: “An analysis of IDF operational systems indicates that a barrage of rockets was fired by terrorists in Gaza, passing in close proximity to the Al Ahli hospital in Gaza at the time it was hit.

“Intelligence from multiple sources we have in our hands indicates that Islamic Jihad is responsible for the failed rocket launch which hit the hospital in Gaza.”

Meanwhile, the UK Foreign Secretary James Cleverly has called for calm and accurate reporting of the facts, urging “cool heads must prevail”.

He said: “Last night, too many jumped to conclusions around the tragic loss of life at Al Ahli hospital.

“Getting this wrong would put even more lives at risk. Wait for the facts, and report them clearly and accurately. Cool heads must prevail.”
